Superintendent Message:
 Over the years, the Rensselaer community has been proud and supportive of its schools. I am proud to be a part of this school district. As superintendent of Rensselaer Central Schools Corporation, I invite you to visit and become involved in your schools.
Our schools are "a place for all learners!" This includes students, staff, parents, and the community. Our staff implements strategies that challenge each student to reach his or her potential and focuses on preparing each student to be successful and productive in our society.
Please know that my door is open at all times! If you have questions or concerns during the school year, please give me a call, send me an email , or stop by the administrative office on Grove Street. I am always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Immunization Requirements
The State of Indiana has passed legislation requiring students to have immunizations completed and recorded before the first day of school. Students attending the Rensselaer Central Schools must have their immunixations updated and recorded with the schools before school begins on August 12, 2010. School families are encouraged to examine the Indiana State Department of Health School Immunization Requirements Quick Reference Guide and consult with their family physician or the Jasper County Health Department.
The Jasper County Health Department will be running Immunization Clinics on the following dates:
July - 27th and 30th
August - 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th, and 31st
September - 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th
Hours of operations are from 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM. Families are reminded that the clinic is operated on a first come first serve basis. Numbers are pulled prior to 11:30 AM to allow for a prompt 11:30 AM closing time.
You must have a copy of your child's shot record including all previous immunizations before any immunizations can be given.
Located in the rural area of southern Jasper County, the Rensselaer Central Schools Corporation is in the beautiful community of Rensselaer, Indiana, between the metropolitan areas of Lake County and Lafayette. The schools serve approximately 1800 students in four buildings, two elementary schools, one middle school, and a high school. Three of the buildings are located on the east side of the community, on a campus that includes all the athletic facilities. The second elementary school is located on the west side of the community, on the same grounds as the school corporation's Administration Building on Grove Street. We welcome you to our schools and community. We are here to provide an excellent education to all students who enroll in our schools.
